He wonders if it is probable that an editor "should invite admirers of Shakespeare to examine the copies they possess, and beg them to send him any remarks which they or their predecessors have made on the passages which still want explanation." Addressed from Bond St. 55. Endorsed: fr. Shebbeare, July 20, 92. (2) Shebbeare discusses his letter to Banks (1); mentions Mr. Malone's upcoming edition of Shakespeare.
